Photography has become a hobby. Well, maybe a bit of an obsession. The challenge for me is to get each picture perfectly right. But the problem is that there's no such thing, or if there is, it's unattainable, at least by me. For me there is a continuum of quality from bad through good, very good, oh wow really good, and, if I'm lucky, Holy Mack!, that's Good. That's what I strive for, the last category.
I see the work of others and I wonder how they do it. And then I practice, shoot photos, experiment, read, listen, ask, and try to get it better. I have a long way to go, but it's fun, and it brings me and others some amount of enjoyment.
"The road of life twists and turns and no two directions are ever the same. Yet our lessons come from the journey, not the destination.” Don Williams, Jr. (American Novelist and Poet).
"Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome." Arthur Ashe.
